In windows 2000, if I set my background by right clicking on an image in Internet Explorer and choosing "set as background" (for example a picture of a dog). Then I right click on my desktop and change my wallpaper to the solar eclipse...

So now I lock my computer by pressing CTRL ALT DEL.. and the background shows as the dog and not the eclipse...

then I unlock my computer and the background is the eclipse again...

What is going on?

Windows is weird like that. Set these registry values to the path of the background that you want.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\OriginalWallpaper
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\Wallpaper
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\ConvertedWallpaper
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Themes\LastTheme\Wallpaper
