preview of lightfield display for AR with depth focus. uses mems mirror switching to shift projector light through different apertures to create depth data for your eye to change focus on. one use of the tech is a simplified optometry tester machine that they game-ify to allow the patient to operate and get a prescription. still pretty far away but obviously a huge leap over MS hololens.

Well here's a genius idea:

Short answer yes. I did this exact upgrade this year and loved it. also, having really good image quality and pass through allowed and encouraged me to use my quest for more than pcvr, like watching shows, movies, etc. folding laundry while watching a massive floating screen feels like the future.
