General video problem with 9500pro - help?

Hi all,
I've been suffering through this problem for nearly a year but it's starting to get on my nerves. My 9500pro card has faint scrolling lines (very thin) that appear on my monitor. Similar to what a TV would do when it wasn't tuned in well in the old days. The lines aren't that noticeable but over time I've become more atuned to them so it is really bugging me. I know it's the card because I've tried it in different PCs and have also tried other VCs on the monitor I'm using.

It's a Sapphire card if that makes any difference. I never sent it back or anything because when I first got it I assumed it was a power supply problem but I built a new PC and transferred the card to it and the problem was still there, except maybe to a lesser degree. At that point it was too late, since the card was probably out of warranty.

The lines move up the screen and are most noticeable on a white background (like most webpages). I think they're there during games but it's hard to tell. It seems to be some type of noise issue but I don't know for sure.

Any ideas or suggestions? Anyone else encountered this problem before? I thought I had read about something similar a long time ago but I can't find anything now.

Thanks!

This is a very widespread problem with the 9500pro. The easiest fix is to use your DV connector instead.
If you head over to rage 3d board and do a search for "scrolling lines" you'll find a thread that is over 20 pages long about this problem.

Thanks for the help guys. Maybe it is under warranty... but it was an OEM version so I don't know if that makes a difference. I'm going to check out that forum as soon as I can waylman, but it appears to be down right now. Or maybe it's just suuuuuper slow... it finally loaded the main board page after about 5 minutes.

Anyway, I'll post again if I fix the problem - thanks again!

Thanks again waylman! I did finally get the forums to come up and did find one of the threads. Actually... the same one you just posted :). I read through most of that thread (including all the bickering) and finally just decided to give the DVI port a try.

Voila! I just rebooted and it seems to have worked! Thanks.

Some people complained that their picture wasn't as good through DVI but it seems fine to me. I'm glad to finally get rid of it. Sheesh. Mine must not have been as bad as some people's though because they were really up-in-arms about it and I've been basically ignoring it for the better part of a year.
