Hello, I've been a lurker here for some time but joined because I have some questions on my current overclock.

Right now i'm running a 2500+ Barton, 2403 Mhz (209x11.5) @ 1.85 VCore. Temps are 41-42 idle and 50-51 full load. Timings are 2-2-2-6 on corsair PC3200 value select (i know, i know, but i was a newb when i ordered my comp and stupidly bought value select instead of XMS).

So my questions are : is 1.85 VCore safe ? how long can i expect my Barton to live at those voltages? Are the full load temps safe ? I normally try to keep full load below 50 ...

Thanks in advance :D

Edit: oh yeah, for those wondering, i'm running a SLK-800 w/Sunon 50.2 CFM fan. Mobo is a Epox 8RDA+ rev 1.1.

i would say no if you want to keep the thing for a long time; it could last months, years, or weeks
anything over 1.8v is iffy with the .13u t-breds/bartons
i've burned t-bred b's up at 1.86v and 1.84v
it's the voltage that mostly kills these things and not the temps

how high can you get it clocked at maybe 1.8v or 1.825 ??

1.8 I can get 200x11.5 ... 1.825 nets me 207x11.5. Is 1.825 pretty safe, then ? and yes i plan on keeping this for a while.

i havn't heard of anyone burning up bartons or t-breds at 1.825v
that is the highest voltage i've run my 2500+ since i've gotten it
but i can't guarantee anything
my guess would be it is safe tho (for atleast a year or more maybe?!?)
just ask yourself if the few extra mhz is worth the risk your taking for each bit over 1.8v

my barton does 2.2ghz at default voltage and about the same as yours at those other voltages

My barton wont hit 200 FSB stable under 1.8 :( I guess i'll stick with 200x11.5 @ 1.8

bummer, but that is still a good overclock
better than 3200+ performance and yur temps shouldn't be that bad

K .. 200x11.5 @ 1.8 , 39-40 idle, 50 full load (Prime95 torture test, Sandra burn-in, assorted programs running in background). Hmm I can hit 207x11.5 @ 1.825 though ... hmmm 80 Mhz, .025 voltage .. eh, i guess its not really worth it. Not like i'd notice the difference :p
