Hi. THis is a really basic question but I would like an answer.
Firstly, when you have a server that is local to many client machines, and you have a few applications / programs on the server that users can access, who's memory resources are used?
Like if a local client has a shortcut to an app on a server, and runs it.
is the server's resources used? as in, will the server allocate some memory resources for that user? or will it be using the client's memory? if so, how?
What about computing power? who's power is used?
Second question,
Does anyone know the advantages and differences between a typical server and a blade server?
Does blade servers offer more scalability + reliability? i'm reading up alot on blade servers and would like to know if a regular server (1U rack size) has any advantage over a blade server? assuming the blade server and regular server have the same configuration.
THanks.
if you could, pleaes email me your answers at Y_2_LEE@Hotmail.com
Thanks, the more answers and explanations the better.
