Hey guys,

Im currently on verizon DSL. From that we have a buffalo wireless router. From there we have 1 desktop wired. and 4 computers wireless, 3 of them desktops upstairs and 1 laptop wherever in the house.

Now we get excellent speeds, and a very stable connection wirelessly.

However every so often, (totally random sometimes every 30 seconds and sometimes once a day) we get dropped off the net both wirelessly, and wired, for id say .1 seconds. This causes our games we play (wow and CS:S etc and other online games) to lag out, basically they sit there for 1 minute then log out. We then have to log back in

Any idea as to why this is, or any suggestions on improving it?

Is it verizon and bad wiring? We do live on a farm house, but have had DSL for 2 years. Ive just never been needing a stable streaming connectiong untill we started playing online so im not sure if its been going on this long. I can tell you its been going on for at least 3 months tho.

Of course ive called verizon and they say everything is fine.

I would run a new phone line from the box on the outside of the house directly to the modem and see if it makes a difference.

Are you using the stock buffalo firmware?

Have you opened a ticket with Verizon to see if they find any trouble? They will probably come back with the standard "no trouble found" but it might be worth the call.
