I just got wireless router , Belkin 802.11g.
I also have a linksys USB network adapter 802.11b. I know the speed of adapter is slower, but will it work?
Thanks

Was it really neccesary to post a link to the same topic?
To answer your question, it should work. I do not know of any belkin routers that operate in 802.11g only; however, that does not mean they do not exist. Check the manual for the router for a definitive answer. In my experience most routers have a setting for mixed networking that you may have to set in the router config.

Hmm, appears that you have linked to this very thread.

It should work fine. The wireless network for all the wifi devices connected to the router will drop down to b speeds (11mbit vs 56mbit). Note you'll get about half the speed of these nominal ratings in normal use as well. I think the encryption level you can use will also be limited. 802.11b can use WEP keys but I think that 802.11g can also use WPA.
