I'm about to switch over from W98SE to W2K Pro.
Never having run this OS before, a few basic questions come to mind. So, if you'll bear with my ignorance........
Approximately when did Windows 2000 go retail?
Since that time, have any newer versions been released, such as Windows 2000 Professional edition 1-A, or version 2, or whatever MS might decide to call it?
How can I tell what version I'll have installed?
What versions of Internet Explorer and Outlook Express are bundled with it?

Windows 2000 Service Pack 1 has been released. It went retail sometime last year 🙂. IE and OE 5.0 are bundled with it.
