My computer's been messing up of late, and its problem has got me baffled. It freezes mainly during two situations 1) 3D games, such as Q3 and UT, 2) web pages with windows media content, such as windowsmedia.com. However, it has no problems playing windows media content normally. It also freezes/slows down during other multimedia content. My system is a P3 750 on an ASUS CUBX, Maxtor 12 GB HDD, 96 MB Micron RAM, Diamond V770 TNT2, Soundblaster Live! Value, Creative 8x DVD drive w/ Encore3 decoder, generic CD burner. I tested the video drivers, switched between Nvidia reference and unofficial and Diamond dirvers, and even switched the video card for another from my other comp that I know works with no results. Anyone have any suggestions or testing programs which could help me identify the problem, I tried Sandra 2001 and it locked up when querying my video card. Thanks!

Don't know if anyone's even reading this thread, but I thought I'd post some more information which might help someone tell me what's going wrong. First, my CPU load always reads 100%, no matter what I do and what progs I close (hidden and visible). Second, I'm posting my Conflicts list from System Information, cuz its seems like a real long list :(

Seems to me youve messed around alot with this machine. Maybe its time for a clean reinstalling. Probably alot of drivers in there causing conflicts, different versions of dx, different hardware removed and put in. Id go for a format and reinstall. Thats what I do when I start getting too many conflicts. Always fixes it.

The only things that are giving you trouble are the devices on IRQ 10.
Move the cards around in the PCI slots, and that'll make them use different IRQ's.
Dont move any card in the PCI slot just below the AGP slot though.
I think a clean & complete format of WinME is in order :D

umm.. try, i don't know, There seems to be nothing wrong with that setup.

I had those probs when i had the 820 but not anymore once i swaped MB.

Try reseting the bios and format the harddrive
if that doesnt work take out any hardware you don't need then put in one by one to see if anyone is the devil :)

I too recently replaced my motherboard and had a lot of conflicts. I am also running Windows ME. I went into the sytem devices under my computer and deleted all of the conflicting devices (that is both of everything that has a conflict, not just the one of each that has the yellow symbol by it). Do the mouse last so it is easier to point and remove things. Then I just did a reboot and windows "found" all the "new" hardware and loaded only the new drivers for the new motherboard. All of my conflicts went away and everything is working great! Might work for you.

Hey, pulled everything in my system except my video card, reformatted and reinstalled windows, stil the same problem, put the nic back in to connect and get some more help. Could this be a problem with my AGP slot itself? or maybe RAM? and Rastus, my fan's seem to be going ok.
