Based on this research, it would make more sense to employ more women on fab assembly lines. Is that the case in reality?

I read somewhere (maybe Ian's last visit to an Intel fab) that some steps in the process require visual inspection by humans.

My company does both engineering and manufacturing, and the vast majority of workers on the floor are women, especially the (more-talented) solder/rework operators.

Women have a greater attention to detail than men, so it makes sense.
