Generation X-born between 1965 and 1976-and Generation Y-born between 1977 and 1994-make up about 44% of the population.

Baby boomers, ages 47 to 57, comprise an estimated 27% of the population. They possess 75% of the country's material wealth and enjoy $1.6 trillion in spending power.

Only ten years longer. If baby boomers have 75% of the wealth, that leaves 25% among the GenX/Y'ers, everyone younger than that, and everyone older than baby boomers. Considering baby boomers only make up 27% of the popluation, that is a HUGE offset of wealth.
