Anyone here ever been to a Gen Con?

I'm slightly interested (a gamer but not hardcore).

Any idea what the admission price is? (the Gen Con website has not posted the 2007 rates)

I've been invited to AvalonCon (?) before but I didn't have the money to go. Plus those games were insanely hard to play compared to Monopoly. 😛
