Geil Ultra-X PC4400 or Corsair DDR-550 (XMS-4400) /

Hey guys, I would like your opinion on which ram to get.

Geil http://store.geilusa.com/product.php?pid=45 $209.00

or

Corsair XMS 4400 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820145550 $223.00

It's going to be installed on an Asus A8n-Sli Premium board, with an AMD64 3700 San Diego.

Which do you guys think would OC better? I want to order the memory today while the Geil is still low. The motherboard and proc gets ordered next week.

Any help on this is greatly appreciated

It achieved a max speed of 315 (or 630mhz effective).

Also newegg has $190 or so OCZ PLatinum revision 2 which is about the same quality or slightly better even.

Personally I would go with value ram given $100 savings and based on this:

DDR600 for A64 - minimal differences

I've never used Geil, but I love my Corsair XMS TwinX-1024XL 3200 Pro RAM. They both use the same Samsung RAM Chips. In fact, I think Geil also uses the same chip in it's RAM. The question is; who makes the better PCB? I get mine to 500mhz @ 3-3-3-8. I could get more, but I have a NewCastle 3500+. It tops out at 9x250 or 10x233. I haven't tried a multi of 8x. I'm happy with stock speeds and CAS of 2-2-2-5.

Thanks for the help guys. This is my first build and I just want to do it right the first time. The links provided were a great help. If anyone else has more to say or have any other opinions please chime in.

I was originally going to go with the Corsair but saw a post on here

He was using Geil and I just wanted to know if he was just lucky or of Geil is just as good.
