Note: I don't think these are Micron D9 but I could be wrong.

Geil Ultra 1066 DDR2 2GB at Newegg

$40 rebate

+ $70 coupon code!!!

=$199 after savings.

I can't post the coupon code but I can tell you a few things about it:

Every Man Can spend 315 on a set of ram but GEIL Ultra 2GB for this price is great.

And for those of you that missed the Buffalo Firestix deal, there's also a promotion on some guaranteed Micron d9 ram.

G.Skill F2-6400PHU2-2GBHZ $229

And there's a $30 coupon for those too.

Like I said, I can't give the coupon code out but I can tell you a little about it:

Every Man Cares about 315 abilities and SKILls he has, but 2GB of ram goes a long way.

;)

The more recent New Egg reviews of the GSkills are not very positive.

Edited on 03/16/07 Please disregard my previous post! For some reason, I had reviews sorted on New Egg to "Sort by lowest rating." I'd go for these myself, but the OCZ deal at FRYS is even better.

Those reviews are positive and these stills still hit 1000-1100 speeds easily with tight timings.

I don't know what he was thinking.

Either way, this thread offers two sets of ram that can hit 1066 speeds for $199.

Not to thread crap OP, but I believe this is a better deal.

$210-$10 rebate = $200

Micron chips, same speed and latency. No need to worry about a big rebate.

Absolutely stellar. I suggest you make this a separate post.

comes out to 240$ with tax. Was gonna buy it but tax killed the deal for me.

Actually you thread crapped for no reason.

Firstly, the Micron's I listed are $199 OUT the door. No rebates. The promo code applies at check out. There's also free shipping.

So the Micron's I listed come out to about $215 with tax out the door (free shipping and promo code is instant)

The 1066 ram I listed is the one with the rebate. So you really thread crapped but not even with a better deal.

My link is for 1066 RAM. Your $199 with no rebate is for 800 RAM. Your 1066 RAM on the other hand, is $240 BEFORE rebate.

1. 1066Mhz rating is not equal to 800Mhz rating
2. Even if they are both micro D9GMH chips, they are binned differently, so Dacalo's deal is a little better no matter how you see it. The 1066 sticks you posted are very close to craps, high voltage and low overclock. And cost more.
3. You just thread crapped your own thread, good way to thank fellow member for enhancing your thread. You could have posted in OP about Dacalo's post and make things better for everyone instead.
