depends on which ones.

golden dragon and 1GB kits of the pc4000 ultra I was able to overclock beyond their ratings...they are quite awesome.
 
differnet timings will result in it running at the very least at the lsowest speed you've got, but some motherboards don't like mixed and matched stuff. Better to sell what RAM you have on eBay and get all the RAM on two cards that you need if possible.
 
i have geil ultra platinum 2x256MB PC4000 sticks. awesome. mine can OC up to 300FSB, which equals 3.6Ghz!!!!

definitely recommended, but i am sure you can find better sticks out there though. mine is over 2 years old.

quality, cheap, fast.

as for the timings, either the computer has issues or all your sticks run at the lowest timings of all the sticks you have. so if you have one stick that's 2-3-3-6 and another that is 3-3-3-8, both run at 3-3-3-8
