Just to add my two cents here.
I highly recomend corsair, yes it's more expensive then some of the other stuff that's out there but then again there is a reason for that.
Corsair's memory is rated at what it was built for, no overclocking.
They have a lifetime warranty but what does that really cover? Well let me tell you what happened to me.
I was one of the people that was able to get in on the intel cpu/mobo combo (D845PEBT2 + 2.53GHz + winXP) and knowing that this mobo does support DDR333 I wanted to get the best stick of memory out there, however I also new of the limitations of this board with regards to overclocking so I wanted to get some memory that might be future proof as well. After researching I finally decided on the corsair and picked up a 512XMS pc3200 @ cas2 from googlegear. Once I received the stick I immediately installed it only to have my system beep at me

The beeps referred to the memory as being the culprit. So after deciding not to call googlegear because I just didn't trust them (it was my first purchase from them and now I realize that they weren't at fault) I decided to rma it directly to corsair. I had no problems doing that and got a new stick with in a couple of days. Unfortunately after I installed the new memory I got the same beep code

:| So I go to corsairs message board for help and after getting help it turns out that the DDR400 spec has not been created officially and that corsair was basing their spd programing on what they thought it would be. Luckily they did have a fix for it and all future memory would be shipped with the fix. I was a little upset because now I would have to pay for shipping again just to get some working memory and finally be able to use my system, corsair was sympathetic and let me use there shipping account to ship it back to them for free

Well I got the new memory and it has worked flawlessly at the most aggressive timings.
What's my point? Well how much is your time worth? If the same thing happened to you would the company you bought from have done the same thing?
When I think of other manufactures like OCZ and how they "make" their memory I think about all the issues one might have with them whether it's hardware or customer service related and I think about just how much all the potential issues factor into my overall cost and how much a piece of mind is worth to me.
<<<End rant
I know some will just read this and their future purchase will just boil down to money but hopefully some may see it's importance.
