I just bought 2 x 256mb Geil ULTRA PC4000 and i was wondering how the temp thermometer works ?

I take it it's built into the module as there was only the 2 sticks of RAM in a case with a tube of HS Paste .

Is there an app that you can get to see the temps , anyone ?

Heres the RAM i bought , Silver Mirror HeatShield looks great :)

Geil® Ultra 512MB PC4000 Dual Chan DDR Kit (2x256MB) 500MHz (3.5ns Cas 2.5 7-4-4) low latency Platinum Copper heat sink + temp thermometer --> Here <--

Those 3.5ns chips run great on low lat A64 @ 2-3-3-6.

Or P4 OC of 250-260 FSB at spd of 2.5-4-4-7.

Great buy.

Yep, temps indicator are no use even with acrylic side panel. Hard to see, imo.

Yeah exactly ,

I took my case panel off , [ it has a window ] but i wanted to see . ? Theres nothing to see :frown:

I was overclocked to 2500MHz and vDimm @ 2.8 , i Thought it should have shown even the lowest temp of the 4 squares .

Ahh we'll it must just be a gimmick :eek:
