quote from OCTOOLS on there review of the golden dragon PC3200:

"For a PC3200 to overclock rock solid up to 243mhz (486mhz DDR) at Single Channel and 241mhz (482mhz DDR) at Dual Channel, it is simply amazing. Canterwood and Springdale owners with a P4 2.4C will have a very good time with this Golden Dragon Dual kit. The GeIL Golden Dragon has been the fastest PC3200 DDR modules we have tested to date!"

241 for pc3200?!?! i'm impressed

I wonder what the chances of an end user repeating the same results consistently?:) Newegg user reviews don't look so good btw. Imma steer clear away.

The OCZ Gold has been getting DDR500+ quite regularly. I would steer clear from them if you want to use them on an AMD system though, as they are not built to run at low latencies. The OCZ Gold is strictly for top speed.

I don't think the GEiL can come close. BTW, they have the OCZ sticks for $89 each at Excaliberpc.com, I don't know what's up with the prices of the OCZ in the DCDDR pack. Every place has them well over $200.

My OCZ Performance Series Rev 2 PC3200 has performed flawlessly no matter what I throw at it. I can't say I've had personal experience with the Gold series, though. I got it at Hardcorecooling.com

I would steer clear from ANY GeIL product as I have had the worst time with the PC2700 (not so) Ultra RAM. It won't run at 166MHz no matter what, unless I put it into a non-nForce2 motherboard. But that doesn't really help me, now does it? I only have 1 system and that is this one with the nForce2 and my A7N8X deluxe doesn't like to change Vdd, so I guess I will have to use "only" 512MB of Corsair TwinX PC2700 running at 200MHz.

I sure would have liked that 1 GB...

I tried e-mailing GeIL's customer support...but that was like 5 months ago (literally). I want to RMA it because it supposedly has a lifetime warranty...so I want to use that ish and get a new stick-o-ram.

Am I correct on the lifetime warranty or is it something like distributors warranty or 1 year limited?

Mine also said lifetime, but the guy I just e-mailed is someone from Taiwan and he wants me to run the stick at 8-4-4-2. Unacceptable.

just got a reply back from ocz tech support

they say that the pc3700 gold is specifically made for the p4 865/875 chipset

the pc3500 dual channel is good to go for the nf7-s :)

i will give it a try!!! woo hoo!
