I think i just got a snow job. My firend at work said that beacuse i work for a county or government i get a discount from GEICO.

when I called The nice laidy told me that when they review my policy every year that take that into account and I allready have the lowest rate That seems like a big hot steaming load of BS

GEICO is expensive anyway. State Farm is really cheap if you have good credit and a clean driving record.

i work for gov and have geico, and although they "originally" were insurance for gov employers, that doesn't seem to affect rates anymore (i've asked)

Same here. I joined my federal credit union about a month ago and called geico up last week to see if I can get a discount. The guy informed that there is a discount but I'm already receiving a discount because I'm a federal employee.
