It's a high pitch whine, that continues after the game locks up. I have to hit the power switch. I think it may be my v-card, but could be mem. I tried helping out the gf4400 with thermo grease between the hs/fan and after a day of gaming oc'd it started booting up as a 4200 and is now stuck on the 4600 label. The bios at post still reads 4400, I'm confused. I have no idea whats going on with it other than it's fried. Also, I just added another 512 stick to my current 512 set up. Any ideas?

Wait, are you running stock speeds on the GPU now? If not, do so.

Ram? Run Memtest 86 ( bootable Floopy )

Try one stick at a time, different slots each time...
