To all,
Recently I decided to upgrade to the new Intel Core 2 Duo Processor. Along with that I decide to get the EVGA Gefore 7950gx2 and the ASUS P5B Deluxe/WiFi-AP Socket T (LGA 775) Intel P965 Express ATX Intel Motherboard LINK. However upon checking the Nvidia website to see if the 7950 supported it, the P5B was not listed LINK. HOWEVER the Abit AB9 Pro LINK has the same chipset and IS supported by the 7950gx2 LINK. Therefore does that not mean that P5B should support it aswell? Has anyone had any similar experience with these who can verify that the 7950 does work with the P5B? Any help or insight would be great. Thanks again.
Peter.
Perhaps I should just go with the Abit even though it is not as nice as the P5B? It did score fairly well as far as performance is concerned LINK. Do note that in this article they did comment that the 965 chipset does not work with the 7950 (*the 7950 GX2 is not supported on the P965 chipset yet.*) but nvidia's website says the Abit AB9 works with the 7950.
