Oh, and before everyone starts bringing up the NV5, I took it upon myself to call XFX, give them my name and my situation, and I was told that installing the NV5 IS covered under warranty. They told me that they only cover 2 aftermarket coolers, the Arctic Cooling NV-Series cooler, and Zalman's new AlCu700 (or whatever that thing is, all I know is that it is made by Zalman 😕 ), while others are not.

OK, that's my official and public response 🙂

I also hereby apologize, both to Rollo and the AT video forum and the mods, I've made a few posts in the past, semi-trolling Rollo, just because I know that he is such an NV fanboy, and that anything opinionated posted tends to get him going on rant. 😛 I'll try to refrain from that in the future too.

Oh, and please stop motioning for a vacation; we can all read the first post in this thread. Moreover, someone who has had at least one motion for a vacation against them in the past shouldn't be constantly calling out others in my opinion.

As a counter, i was not aware of any of that other stuff. I didn't know about the Nazi comment and what not and i apologize. I never knew he said that. However, aside from all that negative posting he is a truly thoughful person from what i gather through PM's and organization of some gifts for a few forum members, no need to go any farther.

I gotta thank you SIckbeast, your measured responses have really helped this thread out.

As for GFT's response that is incorrect. If you take the stock cooler off of ANY video card it is a voided warranty. I dont know where you heard that they support others but that is a false statement. Im not asking you to apologize; You were caught "bending the truth" a lot in that thread and although i hold no grudges against anyone in these forums, i have to say that is inexcusible. Again, you dont need to apologize.

Now i guess we can officially end this thread now that everything is settled.

Just for the record, I view my opinion as just that: opinion. I'm always up for an intelligent discussion and am open to the viewpoints of others. When I know something, I share it, and quite often someone will know of a more elegant solution.

In any event I view that thread as water under the bridge. My apologies if I jumped the gun a bit myself. I have moral convictions of my own and do not condone theft, fraud, or wasting the time of countless honest individuals. As I said though, nobody here knows what really happened.

As far as my "measured responses" go, I'm an active member of the video forums and I esteem towards a place where I can indulge in intelligent discussion on what the best cards are and at what price. In its current state, the forum has a complete lack of synergy and has degenerated into closed-minded mud slinging from two sides who have no interest in listening to what others have to say. You don't need to thank me for anything, but you're welcome anyhow. 🙂

Please let the record show that I know how to install a video card, and do no overclocking on any components of my systems.

Please do not be making statements about which you have little to no knowledge. Is it my fault that my video cards are not working? Probably not, seeing as my other ones that I have installed countless times in similar fasion have worked (for the most part) flawlessly. The only exception to this is my GeForce 4 Ti 4600/4800 stock fans seem to bite the dust after a year or two of non stop use.
