I am using the newest reference drivers on a A7V w/ 128mb pc133, on my geforce2mx with no overclocking. Sometimes after a while of using windows and multiple apps like 3 at once it will lockup randomly. I tried old drivers, (det. 2), didnt fix it. Tried bios options, didnt work. One did make a diff.. agp graphics aperature. I set it higher like 128mb it seems to take longer to lockup and on less amounts a less amount of time. On a 4mb agp aperature it doesnt even run my opengl screensaver. It should tho no?
I have a feeling its in my specific geforce board and will need a new one?

Thanks in advance!!

You don`t say what OS you are using but ,I presume you have a good 300w Athlon approved PSU, & have decent cooling,so the only thing you can do is BIOS tweaks like disable fastwrites,& set your main memory ram to a lower speed setting(8 or 10ns) are you using generic ram?,see if this improves, try the new beta 6.34 drivers & do you have the latest Via 4 in 1 drivers installed try setting 2x AGP speed in Bios.I too have a Via board (MSI K7T PRO & Geforce2 MX ) but it`s rock stable on gaming.Btw I have my AGP4x enabled in BIOS & aperature set to half my ram which is 128mb so half of that is 64mb for aperature size.

I have the 6.31 reference drivers, win98se, a 300watt PS (not sure if its athlon certified tho), an alpha pal6035 on the processor and a turbine fan on the agp, the memory is crucial.. i have the newest A7V bios (1004c), the newest 4 in 1 drivers, im running agp4x and fast writes on. where would i get the 6.34 drivers i didnt see them on nvidias webpage. the problem has improved with keeping everything updated but it still happens after a while of running the computer, it occurs much faster running something like x-isle rather than windows but it appears to lock up the computer when it gets very low. asus probe shows no physical memory near the times it locks up. the problem does seem to be getting much better, i think its being worked on by someone in the driver department. thanks for your response tho.

Rampage2001,I would disable fastwrites, they really don`t do much & it will make your system more stable the drivers 6.34 you can get from here .Btw check you have all video shadowing disabled in Bios.

Thanks, I tried to 6.34 drivers and my system seemed to be less stable than 6.31. Probley wait until the next major release is out till I try that again. Disabling fast writes does seem to help some, in fact before the newer A7V 4in1 drivers came out, windows wouldnt boot with it turned off. I've had all shadowing turned off in hopes of better performance. 6.31 has been my ticket out of lockups so far.
