Is this for real?

GeForceFX 5700 Go - First performance numbers!

GeForceFX 5700 Go
128MB DDR memory
450MHz core clock
275MHz memory clock

The shipping config of the GeForceFX 5700 Go is expected to be running a 400MHz core - The overclocked board used here was actually using a large cooling solution so as to remain stable.

The benchmarks which follow shows an ATi M10 chip at its lowest possible clock settings, against a GeForceFX 5700 Go overclocked with extra cooling.

lol..
its very funny because the Geforce is overclocked and the M10 is at lowest possible clock and the M10 still beat the Geforce 11 times on the game section.

I've sad it before, and I'll say it again. The Geforce FX line is one big disgrace and a joke.

Obviously, it would be extremely hasty to jump to conclusions using a set of tests not run by ourselves regarding an as yet unannounced product. However, assuming that these results are indeed accurate, it gives an interesting insight into what to expect from the GeForceFX Go 5700, as well as a very small teaser into what ATi's forthcoming M11 will offer
What a farce :disgust: Who knows if those numbers are FUD or not. Also, WTF? Almost every game "supposedly" tested is at unplayable frame rates thanks to the extreme settings they presumedly used

I'll wait for some real first hand data on how the 5700 Go performs before sticking a fork in it.

its also kind of stupid, because a geforce fx go 5650 128 MB vs a 64 MB Mobility Radeon 9600 (not pro) = Radeon.
its misleading to think that because the geforce has 128 mb that it is better. alot of money is lost that way. by the consumers, that is.

GeForce FX Go5700 Preview on Bjorn3D

NVIDIA's new mobile unit (built on 0.13u) is referenced on a recently introduced desktop GeForce FX 5700 (NV36). One of the most intersting features has to be the clock frequencies, which can scale depending on operating environment. For less power-demanding work, Performance mode (350MHz Core / 300MHz RAM) should be enough to capture your favorite TV show or watch a DVD. If you do not own a desktop PC but want to play the latest DirectX 9 games, Desktop Replacement Mode comes to the rescue. At this point, the GPU will operate at its highest frequencies (450MHz Core / 300MHz RAM).

Nvidia spruces up notebook line

Although announced now, the Go 5700 won't appear in notebooks until the first quarter. A number of manufacturers will incorporate the chip into laptops running Intel?s Dothan processor.

Nvidia Updates Mobile Line With FX 5700

The new GeForce Go 5700 runs at a core voltage of 350-MHz, while the memory interface is clocked at 300-MHz, Csongor said. The chip's operating voltage is 1.1 volts, versus 1.18 volts for the older Go 5600.

"A customer can literally take out the old chip and put in the new one."

here are some 128mb 5650 vs. 64mb 9600 benchies, the extra memory helps in some situations but can't turn crap into gold...
