I tried playing F.E.A.R. Combat mp today.

It ran fine for a minute, but then it would stall out (for about 4 seconds), then run fine for a minute or two, then stall out. Gradually the stalls became more and more frequent.

I think my video card is overheating.

Right when I quit, the temp was 100C. It went down fast.

Is there a program that I could get to monitor my temp during gameplay and then review after?

BFG GF6800GT OC.

ps: It doesn't do this with most games. Once and a while during BF2, never during WoW. But it did it on the FEAR demo and on FEAR single player as well, just not as frequently.

Probably should invest in an aftermarket cooler. Perhaps clean your card's heatsink out if you haven't in a while, could be clogged up with dust.

Grab a NV5 silencer or zalman vf900 if you think its overheating. Those cooling solutions will not only drop your temp but decrease the noise.

FEAR OWNS Vid cards,

Have you tried playing with everything turned down as low as possible. Including sound. I know it sounds weird but you want to try to get it to run smooth at least once then slowly push things up to see when it starts having funny problems. Also does the sound stutter too? Or is it just the video that you loose? Could be your sound card also.
