My AGP card seems to be running in PCI mode which is slowing down frame rates dramatically. My 3dMark score went down 2000 points even. I can't seem to figure out how to get it out of the PCI mode and back into the AGP mode which it is supposed to run. I have my first two PCI slots clear so I'm almost sure that it isn't conflicting. Anyway, some other details is that I have Detonator 44 drivers and an ASUS P4B533-V mobo. One more thing, it has run in AGP mode before, the only thing I've changed is a reformatted hard drive and new driver.

Thats an odd problem. Well have you installed DX8.1? Run DXDIAG, and see the AGP Acceleration is enabled, and that there are no problems. Also, when you go to display properties/settings/advanced/GF4 (or what have you. Mine says GeForce 2 GTS) and on the first page where it says "Adapter Information", under "Bus", does it say AGP4x? And why did you think that your card is running in PCI mode? If it was somehow connected in the pci port, then you wouldnt be able to score more than 35003dmarks, cuz the pci bandwidth is too slow.
Check these variables, and tell us what you got.

Okay, for one, it says that AGP Texture Acceleration not there (the option is greyed out). This also comes with a problem that my driver isn't digitally signed by microsoft (which I really didn't think would matter since I downloaded it from nvidia) so I'm guessing that's why that option is greyed out. And the reason I think it's in PCI mode is because under "Adapter Information" it doesn't say AGP 4x... it says AGP (PCI Mode). And yes, AGP 4x is enabled in the motherboard and I have the latest BIOS.

Have you updated your drivers recently? Try removing all previous drivers from control panel. Set your card as "Std. pci graphics adapter". Then install the latest drivers. I've heard of conflicts when upgrading from 30.xx or previuos drivers to 40.xx drivers.

I had a blank hard drive and I went straight from no drivers to Det 44s.
