I posted this under video forum but I don't think anyone there knows, so I'll try my luck here:

I recently recieved my GeForce TI 4400 and I like to play Half-Life Mods like Counter-Strike, TFC, DOD, etc. Everything is alright when I first start playing but then after a while my controls are delayed. I hit foward and I'm standing still - 3 seconds later I finally go fowards and I let go of the foward key and I'm still going foward, same with left right backwards. I go to turn with my mouse and that is slowed down also. Even typing or pulling down the console is delayed. In the background I see others moving just perfectly fine. I can watch everyone move perfectly with no lag or anything. The is no server lag and there are no fps problems. I can watch myself die perfectly fine because I can't move right but I can see everyone moving perfectly fine without delay. It just seems like all my controls slow down. This happens right away in CS and DoD. In TFC it takes a while. Anyone have any idea what may be wrong?

I have:
Windows XP
320mb SDRAM
PNY Technologies - Verto GeForce4 TI 4400
AMD Athlon 1.2ghz
Tyan S2390 / Trinity KT systemboard

Did you uninstall the previous video card drivers? What drivers are you using? Nvidia or PNY's?

I unintalled all my video card drivers completely and installed just the Nvidia's detonator drivers, PNY just links to nvidia's site for the drivers they don't seemt o make their own.

hmmm, this is strange, I was getting this problem too, my setup was different from yours, I still haven't figured it out (new mobo hasn't appeared to help) how do you connect to the internet? do you use wireless LAN by any chance? also make sure your RAM is good, try running memtes86 on it.

No, I use a DSL. It does this after a while only with Half-Life and the mods for it like TFC, counterstrike, dod, etc. It happens in TFC after a while and in DoD and counterstrike right away. It didn't start until I got the new GeForce4 Ti 4400. The connection to server doesn't matter because it has nothing to do with the lag i'm getting or anything. I can still see everyone around me moving fine its just my controls. Everything I and only me does is slowed down. I can see everything around me as normal. My fps are perfectly normal just my typing, turning, moving, etc is all slowed down. The memory is good.
