GeForce4 Ti 4200 Display Problems

I have a athlon XP 1600 , 256 DDR 2100 and ECS K7S5A mobo. I have just upgraded from GeForce2 MX 32 MB to this 128 MB DDR one. However for some reason the quality does not seem too good, by that i mean the display. When i run movies in full screen i can see frames and also when i use the mouse wheel. I have the resolution at 1280 X 960 HighColot 32 bit. Can this be a driver issue and how do i optimize the performance of my card ?
