Geforce4 MX ..... how to disable fast write?

I am told that the way to disable fast writes is through the video card's drivers.....I have a Aopen Geforce4 MX 440 with 45.23 drivers but I cannot find the option to disable fast writes anywhere. I only see an option for enable/disabling write-combining, which I don't think is the same thing. I have an Asus P4P800 Deluxe with BIOS 1010 if it helps. Thanks
