So the GeForce4? and Quadro?4 series are Pentium 4 optimized? So what exactly are they trying to tell us?... that AMD Athlon users should look for a different graphic card? ...Or that they should switch to Intel? The whole article sounds a bit suspicious to me, and clearly a stab into AMD's back.

Don't have a cow. Its just that this week is IDF. If AMD had its own developers conference, I am sure NVIDIA would have a press release for them as well.

It means absolutely nothing. Everttime a new processor compes out the pop out a press release saying their drivers are optimized for it.
Their doing it now that the Northwood P4's are available, they did it when the Willamette P4's first came out. They had almost exactly the same press release when the AthlonXP first came out, etc etc.
It's an on-going cycle.

Windows XP was optimized for Athlon XPs.......So what! GeForce 4s will run like a champ on either brand processor. It is just to make the Pentium 4 guys feel like they finally have an advantage over the XPs (at least the guys without the Northwood cores).
