Geforce3MX release date?

Anybody know when the Geforce3MX release date is? They have been hinting about this chip at overclockers.com and I wondered if anybody had any info on it.

Well the 6 month cycle refers to chips getting BETTER...so we will see either a GF3 ultra or the NV25 this fall. The MX? Who knows.

6 months after the Geforce2 GTS came out the Geforce2 Ultra AND Geforce2mx came out, so once the Geforce3 Ultra comes out, the Geforce3mx will probably arrive at the same time

I wonder what purpose a geforce3 mx would have, I guess it would depend on it's features and how well it would perform. depending on it's price it would/may have to compete against the geforce2 pro etc, lets say it's price is 150 at the start????????/............

I remember reading way back before the GF3 was out that there wouldn't be an MX, cux the GTS line would become the budget line. I guess they changed their minds.

Well, there a few reason's i would pick up a Geforce3MX. First, I really have liked my Hercules card of the Geforce2MX flava. Second, the upgrade may provide a little speed but I really want a card that is a DirectX 8 compliant. Also I like speed but eye candy is probably on par with speed as far as I am concerned.

The MX3 will serve a huge purpose: Dual VGA/Twinview.

What really pisses me off is that nVidia still won't put these features on their full powered boards. I need dual VGA but I'm a gamer too, so I have to settle for the crippled MX boards which I don't really want. At the >$300 price point, all nVidia boards should have options for dual VGA. I'm not sure why nVidia doesn't offer it.

AFAIK, the Kryo 3 chip supports dual-ramdacs, so here's hoping they offer dual-vga with every board (which they've been hinting at). Dual Ramdac's have got to be better than the crippled ramdacs that's on nVidia's dual-VGA boards.

I don't know about a gf3mx, but I remember reading an article that nvidia was going to release the nv25 sometime in the beginning of next year, and before that we'd see the nv20, unless the gf3 is the nv20 (Thought it was nv17)
