GeForce3 + Zalman ZM80C-HP Heatpipe VGA Cooler

I can overclock my GeForce3 to 225/506 with stock cooling and it runs perfectly. If I get a Zalman ZM80C-HP Heatpipe VGA Cooler with a ZM-OP1 80mm Noiseless Fan how much higher clock speeds can I attain? This would cost about 60$ canadian, and I would hope I could get clocks at around 300/600. Do you guys think that is possible?

I personally would not buy a HS that is worth as much as my video card. Save the elaborate OCing for a new card.

If I were you, I'd try it.

if i were him i wouldnt. thats alot of money to spend on an old card. just sell the gf3 and buy a used gf4 4200. no worries and a 4200 can be had for prolly US$60 -70

and i dont think theres a chance youll hit 300 with a gf3. a ti500 did what, 250? another 50 on that, even with the cooling is a stretch...get a gf4

You wouldn't get much higher OC. Your card isn't a great oc'er in the first place.
I had a card that I could oc to 250/535 with stock cooling, and 274/565 with thermalright SK6 epoxied on. Thermalright SK6 is far better cooling than the zalman, so I'd say you'd get about 5-10MHz OC, which equates to around 2-5% performance boost
