when i'm running 3dbenchmarks, i have to consistently move my mouse around, as if to keep my comptuer busy, otherwise it runs slow as a dog.

I have the ASUS a7v-133 raid mobo, installed the latest 4 in 1 (v4.40) then reinstalled the latest detenator drivers and it still does it.

anyone know why??? or had a similar problem?

update.

it's teh ACPI...so many devices, including my AGP card have an IRQ of 9 set to it...any ideas on how to fix this (with out switching to Standard Computer)?

You could try disabling ACPI when you install windows. Use the following command when you install: setup /p i
This should disable ACPI on the operating system side. Good Luck!

jakinney,

that's what I did, I essentially reinstalled the OS using Standard PC as the "Computer" by hitting f5 right after the f6 option comes up.

boy did this do wonders...so so much better 🙂
