Geforce3 Ti 500 problem

Hey guys, I got this graphics card for almost no money ($50 something dollars, i think). It's new, in box from Visiontek. Anyway, I unistalled my old drivers for my Radeon, stuck this badboy in, downloaded the latest drivers from Nvidia's homepage and installed them. I have two problems currently; one of which I think I know the answer to. The first one is that if I leave the computer on, it randomly restarts. I believe, however, this is because my case has insufficient cooling. I fixed this by opening the side and having my room fan blow into the case. The other, and more serious problem, is that when i go into a game like CS (using OpenGL, I haven't tried Directx) I can play for thirty or fourty seconds and then the computer restarts.

Does anyone have any ideas?

If you have a motherboard with a VIA Chipset install the latest 4-in-1 Drivers. I was getting lockups and restarts with the newer NVidia drivers and when i install the 4 in 1's my problems dissappeared. Im using the same card as you BTW.

I have an Epox 8k7a, which is based on an AMD chipset. I will try and update that, and see what happens. I also tried CS in DirectX mode and got the same result

You may have to scan your registry and HD for leftover items from your Radeon and manually delete them. Also, make sure you have the latest BIOS for your system.
