Yeah, you read the title right.
I've been having trouble with games ever since I built my new rig (I've entered the info here ). They crash out to the desktop with several different errors.
Jedi Knight 2 gives me 'jk2sp.exe has caused an error and will be closed.'
and I get a General Protection Fault when trying Deus Ex.
I've tried 4 different driver versions (manufacturer's and Nvidia's) for my card, with no effect. Sound drivers are up to date, Win2k is fully updated (except I installed DirectX 7 thinking it might just be a problem with DirectX 8.1, but that didnt help either)
Tonight I was looking through my Device Manager again and I noticed under the Display adapter entry for my GeForce 3...
"Location: PCI bus 1, device 0, function 0" - !
That can't be normal... can it?
I've tried removing and reinstalling this entry from Device Manager, but the Location stays the same. How do I get Windows 2000 to properly recognize this video card?
[The email I sent to Gainward customer service about this just got bounced back to me because they've reached their mail storage limit... O_O I don't like that sign]
