Hi,

I'm planning to buy a geforce3 ti 200 pretty soon. It will be running in a athlon classic 650 system.
Will the cpu limit the video card performance??
Also , i'm planning to buy a new monitor.
The choice i have are ViewSONIC 22" P220F or Dell D1626HT (UltraScan 1600HS Series).
If any of u guys have these monitor can u tell me how they are and which one do u guys suggest i buy.

thanks.

Of course the 650 would limit the performance. I don't really know by how much but it might be a good idea to either look into a new processor aswell or a g2 card. Hope that helps.

Will the cpu limit the video card performance??

Yes but it should still be OK if you're not a hardcore gamer.

I just put together a new system. Most expensive part was the $160 Gainward Geforce 3 Ti 200.

Great card, no DVI but I won't be getting a flat panel any time soon and when I do, another excuse for a new video card!

Anyway went really cheap on my CPU, could not resist $47 for a 1Ghz Duron.

Putting together my first system and figured I would cry less if I crack the core on a cheap CPU.

Anyway: Am I CPU limited?

Yes. CPU utilization in games like "Serious Sam" is flatlining at 100%.

OTOH

So far I've only loaded demos for both serious sams, RTCW, and Comanche 4. Everything looks and plays wonderfully. No slow downs and everything maxed (except the resolution).

Good luck!
