OK. I just upgraded to a Geforce3 from a Geforce2 Pro. I know 3DMark isn't a real world game but it's a great tool for tweaking.

Geforce2 Pro = 6830 3dmarks
Geforce3 = 6741 3dmarks

Geforce2 Pro = 3190 3dmarks
Geforce3 = 4791 3dmarks
Benchmarks done a 1024x768 3dmark 2000 in 16bit color and 3dMark 2001 in 32bit color.
There has got to be a problem. I can't figure out why the GF3 runs slower than my GF2 pro! I've tried the 12.00 drivers the card came with and also tried the new beta 12.40 drivers. One more thing, when running 3dMark, the picture is shifted off to the right of the screen by 1 inch so the picture is not centered. Never had that problem with the GF2 Pro. HELP!!!!!!!
