My parents are asking me what my big Christmas present I want this year, this is what I narrowed it down to:

Geforce3 Ti 200- I am on a Kyro II right now, kinda okay but want better

80G Maxtor 7200 RPM ATA133 w/ATA card Retail - Right now I have a 20 G and a 30G full of stuff which I don't delete so I need some space.

It is up to you AT'ers for my Christmas present!! Pick!

Grab the HD. You can never have too much space.

I would wait for the next generation of video cards if I was you. The Kyro II is fine so long as you have a good processor to back it up.

Whoever voted for that HDD needs to have their head examined. :)

i have a kyro II card and it crashes in UT. thats the only PC game i play so i get pissed everytime it freezes when im about to win. harddrive space can always wait, since you can burn files or have friends burn it for you, or just decide which mp3 or music videos you really listen and watch. you dont listen and watch all of them do u?

Well, you could get the HD, and use it for years to come (I'm currently using some old 1-2Gb HD's in my fileserver). Or you could get the GF3, a product that needs to be upgraded in not so distant future.

Get the HD. It's useful for much longer time.

This is my setup right now:
1.4 Ghz. T-Bird
512 Mb of Crucial DDR PC2100
SB Live! 5.1 MP3+
Kyro II 64 MB Video Card
20 G Maxtor 7200 RPM
30 G Quantum 7200 RPM

That is all you need.....I am thinking of getting the Geforce3 bc I will just format both drives........OMG I have sooooooo much crap, I got 4 different operating systems on both drives. :Q

I'd go with the HD, too. For me, IO is much more important than 3D speed. My ATI Rage 128 is still fine for me.

i agree about waiting on the video card

a Kyro2 is a rather fine card for the money, it performs great..

I'd get the big-ass drive if it was me.
