Geforce3 dual display + my computer = not work?

I put in a geforce3 PNY technologies agp video card into my system.

i have 2 lcd's (analog).

i hook them but up to the outputs on the geforce3 -- one is straight thru the analog..the other one is on the dvi thru a dvi-to-vga converter.

i can get the displays to clone, but i can't extend my desktop.

when i go to display properties, i don't get any option to set the secondary display on.

i'm using the nVIDIA drivers 27.40. i've used the drivers before, and the drivers on the www.nvidia.com website.

help me out plllleeeeeeeeze!

Did you try any of the Nview settings? They're available in the 27.xx drivers. They allow more options for multimonitor systems. try something there.

is it because i'im using a DVI to vga adapter on my video card?

if so, is there a way around this?
