Geforce3 - Benchmarks for slower processors? (i.e. P3 800EB, etc)

I was given some valuable information in one of the other forums here in regards to an upgrade I was looking to do. Basically, I was going to upgrade my processor, motherboard, and ram to have a better gaming rig (was buying T-Bird 1.33ghz, 256MB Crucial DDR Ram, A7M266 mobo). Instead, I was told that the best solution was to simply replace my video card (currently running a Voodoo5 in 4x FSAA @ 800x600 in all games), and that my 800EB was more than enough horsepower for gaming.

My question is this: Will I benefit from a new Geforce3 with my current pc?

Pentium III 800EB
Asus P3V4X w/ 256MB PC-100 Ram
Voodoo5 5500AGP

I had read several reviews, all of which look good. The problem with the reviews is that the benchmarking computer is usually very high end (T-Bird @ 1.0 - 1.33ghz). Also, it is usually mentioned some place in the review that the Geforce3 is very cpu dependant. Without seeing a comparable cpu to my own, I am left wondering if I will get much a benefit from the upgrade.

Any insight on this subject is greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Also, seeing that RAM is so cheap now, I am curious if I will see a performance increase worth mentioning if I upgrade to Crucial PC-133 ram instead of the PC-100 I'm using now?

Thanks again...

i was wondering the same thing. of course, you cant find out until nvidia actually releases the cards and OEMS make them in full force. BUT, I did find something close. it is a GF2ultra.

here

seeing as how the gf3 is close to the ultra, look at these numbers.

This article benches the GF3 against the GF2 Ultra on a system with an Athlon650. That's about in the performance range you're asking about, right? Hope this helps:).
