Geforce3: Antialiasing Problem :(

I'm playing counter-strike and I run the resolution at 1024x768 and when I turn on Quincunx it gets sort of choppy, like intermitent pauses. What could be the problem?

I downloaded the latest drivers 29.42 off nvidia's website, and I used the refresh rate fix. Any ideas?
