GeForce3 and Flickering

I just bought the PNY Verto GeForce3 Card, drivers: 5.13.01.1290, Win2k, AMD1200, refresh rate @ 85mhz. Why does it start to flicker when I get into games like Counterstrike and Quake3? This flickering never occured with my Radeon LE.
And another question... I turned on Quincunx, and Level 8 Aniotrosphy.. I see image quality improvement in Quake 3.. but not in Rocket Arena (q3mod).
Any fixes for these problems? Thanks.

u use the resolution modifrier that changes ur game resolutions to something other than 60 hz right? Cuase all cards in Win 2k default to 60hz in games, but utilites like nVidias refresh rate changer and Radeontweaker fixes it
