I wouldn't wait longer. Do you need the ASUS one? I think it is kind of a waste to get a GF2 MX if it is going to cost $130 when Untamo in the FS/FT forums was (not sure if he still is) selling GF2 GTS 32mb for $180 shipped. If you don't necessary need the features of the ASUS, check out an Inno3d, Cardex, or eVGA one. I know the eVGA one and Inno3d one have 6ns ram but I'm not sure about the Cardex. At Pricewatch, the Inno3d is listed for as low as $99!

I just read sonewhere that the Asus Geforce2 mx has the best 2d quality . Right now im running a TNT and have had this card for it seems like forever and really have no complanits about the performace my TNT has given me it runs everything very well. so i dont think i need a top end Geforce to please me the GF2 mx should be fast enough i would think to run my games?? Also I run my games at 600/800 res so would the gts be any better at this res than a mx?

Personally, I'll never buy a Podunk Vidcard. GF2 MX for $99.00? Not for me. When you buy cheap, you'll often spend much more in aggravation. And a lot more than $50.00 of aggravation. While less expensive always looks like the smarter choice, often it's not. It's up to you.

The GF2 GTS really comes into its own at large resolutions. For 640x 480, or 800x600, the expensive GF2's give you no practical advantage over the GF2 MX. The benchmarks at smaller resolutions are almost the same for both classes of GF2's.

If the G400 runs UT and or QIII to your satisfaction, keep it. The GF2 MX will almost double your framerate in these games. But raw FPS doesn't necessarily mean Vidcard "A" is better than Vidcard "B."

I wrote about "podunk" cheap Vidcards. Any Asus, CL, Guillemot/Hercules, Elsa or other good name brand video card isn't a "podunk," ie Best A number one most excellent Tire and Rubber company's offering.

Oh... I just heard that people have been getting the Inno3d and eVGA if they don't need the features of the more expensive cards and are having good results with them.
