geforce2mx (quadro2mxr) memory swap

I just completed the part change to make my GeForce2 MX card think it's a Quadro2 MXR. Easy fix, and works like a champ. Now I'm wondering if anyone has tried to change the sdram on board over to ddr? Or even upping it to 64mb from 32mb? I've got the smd tools, and the experience to use it, but wonder if it's worth the time. From what I read, it's a pin for pin swap, but don't know if the core is enabled to use it, or if the performance will increase.
