GeForce2 Ultra Vs. Radeon 7500

Which one is better?

Considering performance/price ratio, I believe the Radeon is a better buy, but the Ultra is faster, right?

If anyone from Germany is reading this post: How much does the GF2 Ultra ,GF2 Pro, and the GF3 cost there??
About the Radeon 7500 - Is it available in Germany? if so, which store has it in stock, and how much does it cost?

I'd buy a 7500 over an Ultra. The Ultra may be a bit faster, but the 7500 has better image quality. (I've had a VIVO and a Pro)

I would wait a bit in order to see, how are the 7500's drivers etc. Just wait, soon many people will buy it and than read the thoughts and decide.

The Radeon 7500 was shipping to North American stores as of yesterday (Oct. 1st). I don't know when it will be shipping to Europe; your best bet would be to contact ATi's European offices:

The best price I have found for a 7500 is about $US 166.
The best price I have found for an Ultra is about $US 180.

The Ultra is slightly faster while the 7500 has better 2D image quality, hydravision (dual monitor support), DVI, VGA, and TV-out. Some Ultra's have DVI or VGA or TV-out as well. But not all of them. Some of them have great 2D image quality. You just have to check. No Ultra has dual monitor support. Then again, you may not need that.

The price on the GF3 Ti200 is about $226 (from Buy.com). Give it a week or so and it will be price competitive with the Ultra/7500.
