Geforce2 Ultra overclocking..

What is better to OC on the GF2 Ultra? RAM or core?

Leadtek Geforce2 Ultra

250Mhz Core, 460Mhz RAM.

Highest I am able to OC it with stock cooling is

275Mhz Core, 495Mhz RAM.

hhmm.. I got a 1U rackmount all copper HSF.. I am going to slap that sucker on the core.. but what is better to OC on these cards? RAM.. or core?

Thanks!

Ignore the core clockspeed, concentrate entirely on the memory. The GF2 core is completely memory bandwidth limited.

Run some benchmarks with your Ultra at 200 MHz core, 250 MHz core and 275 MHz core with your memory overclocked to the edge. The difference will be about 5 - 8 fps between 200 and 275. It's pretty disappointing, but it's free performance nonetheless.

I am going to go about sending this HSF back.. unless someone here wants to purchase it? Maybe I will just sell it on my site.. It's never used. I am going to get a water-cooled Geforce cooler.. I am going to use the same ones I am going to sell on my site.
