Well, the GF2 MX core has only two rendering pipes as compared to the GF2 GTS' four rendering pipes.

GF2 series is memory bandwidth limited so by overclocking the memory can one get any performance increase.

GF2 MX is alright in lower resolutions for gaming (640x480->800x600) and it starts to suffer b/c of the bandwidth limitation @ 1024x768 and above. GF2 GTS is decent in higher resolutions.

GF2 MX also supports Digital Vibrance Control and TwinView.

The GeForce2MX is plenty fast enough for most games at 1024x768x32. At least, I can play fine at that res for every game I own. And yes, it will crush your old card. I got my GF2MX after playing with an original TNT for a long time.

I too am looking at the Geforce2 MX card. I am in the process of putting together a 1 ghz Athlon system. I have been told that the MX will not really take full advantage my 1 ghz system in gamming.... but I can't afford a Geforce2 GTS. I have been told if I can't get at least a Geforce2 GTS and I'm going with the MX, that I might as well just get an AMD Duron. So now I'm a little confused. I really want to go with at least a 1 ghz CPU, but if it's going to be crippled by my video card... is it worth it?
