...what kind of post is this?

First, there's no link.
Second, the only GeForce2 PRO and varients out there are only offered in 64MB flavor.

If I recall, one of the resellers calls their GF2 "Pro" even though its not the PRO.

KimChii: No, there are many OEM 32meg versions of the GeForce2 Pro. Every GeForce2 Pro Gateway puts in its systems is 32 megs, and Micron offers it too. I didn't actually know there was a 64 meg version of the pro.

Fubak, active your private mail here on anandtech. (You do it by going to profile on one of the tabs at the top of the thread.)

I need to private mail you. Don't worry, its good.

Once you've enabled your private mail, private mail me and tell me you have. Then I'll get right back to you. Send private mail is one of the options that appears in the upper right corner of each particular message. It's the one with the "lock".

EVGA does not list a 32MB card on their site. On top of this, why would they price the 32MB Pro below their own 32MB GTS ? It's rare to see an EVGA GTS Plain 32MB going for 170, let alone a Pro. The site, like fifty other ones is lying about the name. Like the wonderful Gladiac MXs appearing on price lists as the cheapest "GTS" around, which it obviously isn't, or the idiots saying that the 7100 Deluxe is a GTS (I think that one was techzone maybe ?). Believe it when you see it. Words to live by.

What is the difference with the Pro? Is it clocked faster? Maybe overclocking the regular eVGA Geforce2 gts would get you the same thing? That card, which has TV out, is selling for $165 on price watch.

The two prices aren't far apart though. Does this card have TV out, anyone know?

It has TV out. It's faster than the GTS simply b/c it has 5ns memory instead of 10ns. I think everything else is the same. The memory alone makes it 20% faster than a GTS.

Go see the card for yourself...

Here is the card specs on the manufacturer's web site (eVGA).

The specs talk about a 64 meg card. But the etailer is listing both a 32 and a 64 meg version of the card, at dramatically different prices. My guess is that this is the real deal. The web site lists this as one of eVGA's newest cards. Maybe they just don't have the 32 meg version listed on their web site yet.

The write up at eVGA says its 20% faster than a regular Geforce2 and that it has 5ns DDR memory. If the usual Geforce2's have 6ns memory, the math works. Looks like a great price. I may just get one! I was going to get the regular eVGA Geforce2 GTS for $169 on Pricewatch. This is clearly a better deal. Shipping a little high at $13 ground, but not total robbery.

Great deal!

OK, just got off the phone with eVGA. They just got a shipment of 32MB GeForce 2 PRO cards in. Not MX! This sounds like a legit deal folks! It is a new product. Part number is ND15 per eVGA's sales department.

Anyone who is worried, check out this link: Link

At eVGA's own eStore, they have a 32MB GeForce 2 Pro for $199.99, so rest easy, this is the real deal! ... It says the 32MB GeForce 2 Pro has 5.5ns RAM and includes TV Out

Here's the link for the product Specs: Link

I hope this helps everyone out who are considering buying this... Great price for a great card.

United Micro also has a great price on their eVGA 64MB GeForce 2 Ultra, also includes TV Out for $373.00, not bad considering most Ultra's are going for $400+
