geforce2 or ?

hey,
Igot my comp last yr and it came with an ati radeon 32mb video card sdram...(800, P3). Since then i have gotten really into gaming ...unrael tournamnet and am wondering if i should upgrade to one of the geforce 2 cards. Is it worth it.....ie......will i notice the higher fps and will the game run better if i get say a geforce mx, ultra, pro. geforce3 is still too expensive for me...id like to saty under 150-175. so which geforce to get? does the mx kinda paralell the card i have?

It depends on what type of Radeon you have. Is the RAM on it DDR, or SDR? If it's SDR then it's more like a GF2 MX and if it's DDR then it's more like a GF2 GTS.
 
as i said above its sdram. my question stands will i see better gaming performance from a 64mg geforce gts?
 
The great thing about UT is that it tends to agree with many many video cards. Upgrading to a GTS may not gain you too much performance. If you want a GeForce 3 at a fraction of the price, wait for a GF3 Ti 200. It is slightly underclocked which reduces performance 5-15%, but it will most likely be the best deal on any of the video boards soon to be available. It should be sold for about $200, you just need to have some patience and wait for it to come.
