Geforce2 MX slow in Win2k

I just purchased a new Nvidea MX card and am using it in a dual boot ME/Win2k system.

In ME I get 3dMark2000 scores of approximately 5200, in Win2k those scores drop to 2800. There is also a noticeable difference in framerates in Unreal.

I have downloaded the latest Detonator drivers from Nvidea and they made no difference.

Anyone have any suggestions.

Is it a clean win2k install (with the new vid card) or did you have a different card installed when you installed win2k? You might want to try a clean install of win2k with the new card...

Also, what else is in your system? RAM, Processor, etc.

Get the NVIDIA refresh rate fix for win2k. I cant remember the exact link for it but there is a link to it off www.geforcefag.com there is also a bunch of other info on geforce cards there too. Also on the advanced options of the geforce menu on open gl turn vsync off. However some people dont like to turn it off because of vertical lines showing supposedly.
